Dr. Christy Leslie has been immersed in the veterinary profession her entire life, growing up as the daughter of two veterinarians. She began her career in emergency medicine before recognizing an opportunity to unite her love of veterinary medicine with her interest in operations to enhance the well-being of veterinary teams. This passion led her to complete a Master of Business Administration and transition into leadership roles focused on supporting the people behind exceptional veterinary medicine.
 
Over her career, Christy has advanced through progressively senior operational leadership positions- from managing large hospitals to serving within support functions in medical operations and clinical learning- where she is dedicated to improving the professional experience and well-being of those who care for animals, the animals themselves, and the people who love them.
 
Christy remains connected to education as a sessional instructor, lecturing in the business stream and serves as a communication coach. She is also actively involved in professional regulation and governance within the veterinary field.
 
Christy lives in Calgary, on the traditional Treaty 7 territory of Southern Alberta, with her husband David, their two young sons, and their two beloved pets. Outside of work, she enjoys an active life chasing her boys, experimenting in the kitchen, and staying fit through strength training.
